Our Lady Peace

The band’s rise to fame has been less than peaceful!

Have you ever wondered where Our Lady Peace got their name? Some people get confused and think Our Lady Peace are associated with religion. The name Our Lady Peace actually comes from a poem written by Mark Van Doren.

With 7 albums to their name, these guys have come a long way. Even though they may sound like Nirvana or the Foo Fighters sometimes, these guys do have their own style. What you would most probably recognise is the lead singer’s voice!

He’s got an interesting range of tones which add a cool flavour to the music. It’s a powerful voice, from whispering to screaming he can do it.

From ‘Clumsy’, ‘Superman’s Dead’ and ‘One Man Army’ to newer numbers like ‘Innocent’ and ‘Somewhere Out There’…on albums like ‘Happiness Is Not A Fish That You Can Catch’, ‘Spiritual Machines’, ‘Gravity’ and ‘Healthy In Paranoid Times’ to name a few. They’ve got tracks from slow ballads to upbeat grunge rockers, their rhythm just lifts you up! addictive stuff.
