O.A.R. (Of A Revolution)
These guys converted from an Ohio State frat band to Billboard chartbuster and headliner at major venues across America. First, college reps hawked the band’s two demo recordings to people and servers at universities. Then, word-of-mouth news spread about the band’s roots rock and reggae-inflected upbeat songs.
The lead singer, the urgency in his voice - a little horse and gravelly over the phone, is assertive and electric with emotion throughtout the album.
They have albums like “Risen”, “In Between Now And Then” and their latest (highly recommended!) “Stories Of A Stranger” has some fab tracks. Moving lyrics effortlessly blending in with the alternative-folk-upbeat music. Of A Revolution is good stuff, take a listen.
